Let me start out by saying, I’m a democrat and for the most part, I consider myself pretty liberal. Obama’s 2012 Campaign however has been rubbing me the wrong way. Something about this more aggressive tactic to appeal to younger people seems gimmicky, manipulative and just beneath him. In 2008, I was attracted to his speeches, his ideals and maybe even the subtle targeted designs. But I mean… come on. It’s like they’re not even trying anymore. Instagramesque photos, hipster branding? This isn’t an urban outfitters ad. You’re better than that Obama Campaign.
It’s the interplay between fonts that gives them energy. The more distant the moods in a typographic palette, the more spirited the design will be.
All I see on my design schedule is British Airways - British Airways - British Airways -British Airways - British Airways . Been wanting to do this since 4th grade! SOOOO EXCITED!
The thing I love most about what I do is seeing an idea coming into fruition. There’s just something about seeing a sketch come alive that excites me. This is a four-poster series for WWU KhSA’s New Year Dinner. The concept was to juxtapose Cambodian-Americans today with traditional Cambodians.
Western Washington University’s New Media Design - Class of 2012
I like how our professor looks the youngest/shortest.
Destiny - Kinetic Typography
My first real motion graphics piece is complete! After effects is quickly becoming my favorite program in the suite.
FALL QUARTER IS OVER!! This is my final project. This is my answer to McDonald’s loss of the 18-30 year old demographic. This is what has been stressing me out for the better half of a quarter.
This kiosk I’ve spent the past 5 weeks building is finally complete! The sense of gratification I get on critique days makes all those late nights worth it.
